Calbee Acquires Majority Stake in US Tofu Producer, Hodo Inc.

Hodo, Inc. ("Hodo"), a leading producer of organic tofu and sustainable plant proteins, announced today that Calbee, Inc. ("Calbee"), a global leader in snacks and food products, has acquired a majority stake in the company. The acquisition accelerates the growth of Calbee’s Food and Health businesses.

As part of this venture, Sagamiya Foods Co., Ltd. (“Sagamiya”), a leading tofu manufacturer in Japan, has also acquired a minority stake in Hodo. Sagamiya will contribute technical support further strengthening the venture’s growth plans.
