Stir Fried 5 Spice Nuggets with Orange Teriyaki Glaze

Ingredients

Veggies and Nuggets

  • 1 (8oz) package Hodo Chinese 5 Spice Nuggets, halved Locate Product

  • 2 tbsp red bell pepper, thinly sliced

  • 1/3 cup carrot, peeled and thinly sliced

  • 1/3 cup yellow onion, chopped

  • 3 tbsp celery, chopped

  • ¾ cup mandarin orange segments

Orange Teriyaki Sauce

  • 3 tsp cornstarch

  • 2 tsp water

  • ¾ cup tamari  

  • 1/3 cup water

  • 1/3 cup orange juice

  • 1 tbsp ginger, peeled and chopped

  • 2 tsp garlic, peeled and minced

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1/3 cup honey

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Chop all veggies and nuggets.

  2. Stir fry vegetables over medium high heat.

  3. Mix cornstarch with water to form a paste and set aside.

  4. Add all sauce ingredients, including the cornstarch, and let thicken.

  5. Toss mandarin oranges, veggies, tofu and sauce to mix. Enjoy!
